Hang Snatch

3-3-2-2-1-1

These are triples, doubles, and singles, so for the triples and doubles, once you pick the bar up in the hang position, you cannot set it down between REPS to adjust your grip.  It you cannot maintain the weight for the entire three or two reps, then it is counted as a missed lift.  Also, the pull must be initiated from above the knees.

Abrams on the rocks

Brian Abrams doing what he does best!  Safe travels and best wishes to Brian this weekend!  Brian and Uncle Dan headed down to Jacksonville, FL today to attend their CrossFit Level 1 Certification.  Have fun guys and bring back some good knowledge!

Today is the big day!  For those of you in the Paleo challenge, we will announce the winner tonight at the Christmas Party!  Make sure that you get in to the gym today before 5:30 to get pinched, weighed, and photographed!

The CCF Christmas Party is tonight.  We will close the gym at 6:30 this evening, with the 5:30 class being the last class of the night.  The party starts at 7pm at Public House on Devine street.  To get there from the gym, make a right on Harden and head in to 5 Points.  From there, make a left on Devine and Public House is just up the hill on the Left.

Don’t forget your gift for Toys for Tots and come dressed festive and ready to have a great time!

    Today we did Tabata squats (scored an 18 on my least successful round) and later I did a modified Fran at the cert: 21-15-9 45lb DB thrusters and deadhang ring pullups: 6:22 and my arms were screaming. So far I am learning a lot and looking forward to whipping some of y’all into shape.
